 +Watch the Med Alarm Phone is a project which was founded by activists from Europe and North Africa in 2014. The self-organised call-center for refugees who are in distress at sea should ensure a safe rescue and prevent human right violations such as pushbacks.

 +At that, those in distress get a second chance to make their call for help heard by sea rescue. Each emergency is recorded and publicly accompanied till safe rescue. If necessary, further support is drummed up. Thereby pressure is exerted on those responsible,​ at least as far as possible.

 +We will carry a list with almost all the names of those who have drowned in the Mediterranean Sea from the Tribühne Lehen to the Festspielhaus,​ or as close as we can get. Bring along candles! We want to show those responsible for isolationist policy that they are to blame for the dying in the Mediterranean Sea.

With this in mind, we request representatives of the executive, of the media and of politics to adopt a practice of de-escalation and constructive approach to settling conflicts within their respective area of responsibility.**
